As US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s arrived in Moscow Tuesday, the Russian foreign ministry announced a three-way conference in the Russian capital Friday between the Russian, Iranian and Syrian foreign ministers, Sergey Lavrov, Mohammed Javad Zarif and Walid Moallem. The Kremlin therefore rejected in advance the message Tillerson brought from the G7 calling on Moscow to abandon its support for the Assad regime after its deadly chemical attack on civilians last week. Russia has denounced the US attack as an "aggression" and argued that the Syrian government wasn't responsible for the chemical attack.
