A new opinion poll places the prime minister’s Likud party in first place if elections were held today. According to a poll conducted by Prof. Camil Fuchs, Likud would come out with 28 seats (in the 120-seat house), dropping four places, followed closely by Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid (Future) with 25 seats. Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home), and the Joint Arab list can expect 13 seats each, a gain of five for the former.

The leading opposition party Zionist Union would fall back to 10 Knesset seats, the defense minister’s Yisrael Beitenu, the United Torah Judaism and the left-wing Meretz would tie at seven seats each. The Finance Minister’s Kulani, along with the ultra-religious Shas, would poll six seats each. Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon’s new party would not pass the threshold of 3.25 percent. The poll was broadcast by Channel 10 News.
