Ari Haro, former chief of staff of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, signed a deal Friday to testify in two probes ongoing against the prime minister concerning the receipt of improper gifts and negotiations with a newspaper editor. Haro was promised in return that the charges against him of advancing his business interests while in public service will be reduced to fraud and breach of trust, which he will admit. Instead of jail, Haro will face six months of community service and pay a large fine. A gag order covered details of the agreement.
